Prezi is a Web 2.0 application that will allow you to construct an interactive exhibit of content that can include text, images, sounds and video segments. It's easy to use and will reside on the Internet for easy access from any computer connected to the web. This is wonderful, because you can create a Prezi and then provide your students with a link so that they can access it form home. Of course, you can also engage them in creating their own Prezi's, which will tab their creativity and problem-solving skills! Here is a very simple Prezi called, Introduction to Nouns that would be ideal for a language arts lesson. |

Getting Started
There are two options for learning how to use Prezi.
1. If you prefer printed directions:
Here is an article from WikiHow called, How to Create an Online Presentation with Prezi. This link takes you through the basics, and is great if you are a verbal/linguistic learner who does well with printed directions. Please Note...there are MANY Google Adds embedded in this set of directions. You should NOT click on those links.
2. If you prefer video tutorials:
Prezi offers its Prezi Academy which provides a series of videos to help you use the tool. Keep in mind that you will be creating a "public" Prezi that others can view, so think carefully about what you will include, and be sure to check spelling and grammar! Step-by-Step Tutorial on Prezi Basics is the Lesson 1 in the series.
Enjoy working with this creative tool to design engaging presentations for your students.
